Erica said Linda is unhappy with her new job. (She is the only clerical person there, so she is finally in a situation where there is no one around to help her. (She is a sweetheart, but she is a bit dense and lazy.))
Sharon wanted to know if I had seen any more of Laurie. (I told her yes.) (I have made it clear that I am not looking for a long-term relationship now and that I am not in love with her.)-(She is dating other guys and I am glad for her. (I hope she finds someone who is looking for a long-term relationship and is in love with her!)) (I am going to keep meeting people, building friendships and looking for other lovers.)

Carly asked me to collect matchbooks for her again. (She collects those from all over. (One of her favorites is the one I gave her from one of the brothels in Wallace.))
(7pm) Now I am sitting in a bar at the Denver airport killing time.
I just ran into Lauren and her beau. (Pretty weird!) (I wish I had been able to afford chasing her. (Oh well!))

It has been a busy four days!

Friday nite my sister and Bill picked me up in KC. We went to one of the airport hotels for a couple drinks and some food. Then we drove to Topeka. (My dad loaned them his car for the trip. (Nice! (Tis a fully loaded Lincoln Town Car.)))
Saturday we hung out at my sister’s place catching a buzz and visiting. Then around 1pm we went over to my dad’s house. He and I drove up to the farm, wandered around up there and bs’d.
Saturday nite dad barbecued some steaks for everyone. (Yum!)
Sunday we hung out at my sister’s place again until Noon. Then she dropped me off at my dad’s house. My dad drove me around town to see all the changes and his new office building.
Sunday nite my dad cooked up a big turkey dinner for everyone. (Yum!)
Monday my sister dropped me off at my dad’s in the morning. He and I went around town getting stuff ready for the wedding reception. Then he had to go to the office, so I walked around town for three hours. (Twas nice getting some time alone! (I am not used to this much time around others.)) (Another advantage of walking is it’s a better way to see things than driving around in a car.)-(I walked by a couple of the houses I lived in with my ex, walked by the schools I went to growing up, walked up across the campus where I went to college, and stopped in one of the college bars for a couple brews.)
