I have been writing to Erica for five years now. (Tis amazing how many changes I have been through in that time.) (I still regret not typing up the first couple years! (Those were interesting times with all sorts of odd characters.))-(Oh well, focus on now!)

(5am) Morning again.
(7am) D O is still obsessed with getting into the box with Erica's letters.
D O is another reason things wouldn't work out with Lauren. (D O never did learn to use her scratching post instead of the furniture. (Lauren's complaints about her roommate’s dog messing up her furniture suggest she wouldn't appreciate D O.)) (My furniture was rescued from the junk pile, so I could care less.)
Well, tis leap year again. (Isn't this supposed to be the year when women chase guys?)
(5pm) Work was hectic again! (Nice!)
I spent most of the afternoon helping the detectives configure their new computers. (The one place in City Hall people can smoke at their desks is the Police Department, so it was nice to spend time down there.)-(Cops seem to smoke as much as I do.)
I had a nice chat again with Lauren. (She says her trip to Seattle fell through. (She says she has a big ski trip planned for next month, and it’s probably for the best that she is staying home and saving her money.))
(7pm) It does seem difficult for many parents to admit to their kids that they have a sex life. (Sharon still sees her hubby regularly. (Maybe juggling him and other guys is what she doesn't want Chloe to see?))
Erica says Linda is still upset about Paul's jealousy. (She was worried about that before they got married.)-(I got the feeling she went through with the wedding because the plans were already made and everybody expected her to.)
Erica is having some surgery tomorrow. (She is going to drive herself to the hospital and is telling everyone to not visit her there.) (Times of emotional stress aren't a good time to do something like drive.) (Oh well, she is stubborn and independent and I can relate that. (I would probably do the same thing.))
