Money problems can be stressful, but it doesn't do much good to obsess on it. (I have to be aware of the problem and do what needs doing to change the situation.) (I could get really down if I worried about all my debts and all the years it's going to take to pay them off, but that just makes matters worse. (Just work, make payments, and I will get there!)-(I will have to look for a second job when I get used to the first one.)) (If I had obsessed on my money problems during my unemployment I would have been a basket case. (And, I wouldn't have accomplished everything I did. (That was one of the most productive periods of my life.)))
The zoning committee was talking about making Flippers shut down the gambling machines until they solve their parking problems. Then people started pointing out all the other bars in town that have parking problems, and that, to be fair, they would have to shut them all down too. (It will be interesting to see if the City Attorney can find a way around that one.) (They are sure investing a lot of energy into trying to find a way to make them move.)
(7pm) I went down to Ross and Carly's to pick up some smoke for Erica.
Carly says the reason for Erica's recent trips to family planning is that Dell gave her the clap. (That probably explains why Henry has been upset with her lately.) (Maybe I should dig out one of her letters where she lectured me about using rubbers and give it back to her?) (That is one advantage of celibacy.) (Carly says she hopes she doesn't catch that again. (Ross concurred.)) (Ross asked her whom she has been fucking while he is at work. (He seems pretty fed up with her at the moment.))
Carly says I will probably end up with someone who lives close by. (?)
Carly wanted to know how long it had been since my last date. I lied and told her '72. (If I counted all the times I have gone out with women who have told me I am "too nice to fuck", I have had hundreds of dates since my divorce.)
She wanted to know what my dream date would be. (I can't imagine it.) (All I could afford now it to invite someone to come by or to go for a walk.) (I will worry about dating in a few years.)
I picked up a case of athlete’s foot. (Annoying!)

(7am) Maybe my unconscious mind causes me to be attracted to extraverted and playful women, so I won’t have any luck? (Oh well, either way the answer is the same. (Gradually work through a process of desensitization until I can cope with girlfriends.)) (One problem with shy women is we would never meet, unless I became an extravert.)
Carly made a point of telling me she would be drinking at the Highlander tonite. (?) (Earlier in the week she said she was going to go out partying with Erica and Gwynn tonite, but she changed her mind for some reason.)
