(11pm) Busy day!

Last nite we went to another of my boss’ friend’s houses. (They bs’d and I passed out on the floor. (It had been a long day and I was exhausted!))

Today we drove into Denver, hit a couple seminars and spent some time cruising the exhibition hall to enter contests and collect freebees from vendors. (The convention center is non-smoking, so I also spent time out on the loading dock smoking.)

After the seminars were over, we hit a bar for a brew and then went to a conference party. (The food and drinks were good, but it was raining again and the tents they had set up weren’t much help.)

Then we drove up to Evergreen to his sister’s house. (Amazing place! (Three stories, five decks, hot tub, mountain view, three tvs, three stereos, three vcrs, two pinball machines, exercise machines, …)-(I wonder what their place in Vail is like?)-(Two lawyers with no children would have plenty of money for toys!))

All these fancy houses have reminded me again of what a total failure I am! (Depressing!)

We ate dinner at a neat place in Evergreen. (They had several pictures by one artist that I thought were really neat. (As you studied them, new things kept popping out. (e.g., one landscape had portraits of Native Americans worked into the side of a hill.))

(Midnite) I went to seminars and talked a lot with vendors in the exhibition hall. (We are looking for a new accounting system, so I am trying to talk to a lot of different software vendors.) (I had a lot of anxiety about all the interaction, but once I got started I was ok.)

Twas party nite, so we hit a couple of the one’s put on by vendors. (They were both held on the top floor of skyscrapers. (Great views, great girl watching, free booze and great food.))

Then we met his sister and her husband at a downtown bar. (I asked them about Carrie’s situation (getting hepatitis C from a blood transfusion), and they said it sounded like she has a good case against the blood bank, hospital and doctors.)

Then we all went to this dive where they serve great Mexican food.

My boss’ brother-in-law was in Denver back when I lived here, and we talked about that time. (I sure had a lot of fun here back then!)

I rode back to Evergreen with my boss’ sister. (She is nice!) (It sounds like she is hearing her biological clock ticking. (She is 38 and still hasn’t had kids.))

This is another non-smoking house, so I am spending a lot of time out on one of the decks. (I can’t complain! (Tis a beautiful spot and I am enjoying spending some time outdoors for a change.))
