Well, it’s almost the beginning of the budget season again. (I will have to go to more meetings again. (I tend to avoid them, but they are therapy.)) (I have gotten a reputation for keeping meetings brief and to the point, and people seem to like that.)

(Midnite) Time to visit dreamland!
(9am) I only slept nine hours. (I don’t remember my dreams, but they must be nice if I am sleeping this much.)
(2pm) I got a more current list of poetry publishers at the library. (Keep trying!)
(4pm) Erica stopped by for some Yahtzee and a chat. (Neat!)
It sounds like she had a fun weekend! (Good for her!)
The plants don’t take much time. (On average they take about ten minutes a day.) (They are however always there and have an impact on my life. (e.g., I can’t have straight lovers.)-(e.g., the lite being on all nite while I am sleeping.)) (There are a lot of grow rooms getting busted lately, but I am not too worried. (This is a tiny set up, I am not going to sell any, few people come here and even less know, and I don’t have a lover to get mad at me and turn me in.))
Erica was telling me about a guy that she knows who caught his wife in bed with another man. (Like most people in that situation he is pissed and is calling her all sorts of names. (I can relate to the feeling but one has to get past that. All affairs convey some message. The important thing is to get past the anger and figure out what the message was. (e.g., maybe she wants out.)-(e.g., maybe she has a bad self-image (e.g., parents who called her a whore and a father who raped her, like my ex.), and was trying to validate that image.)-(e.g., maybe she can’t deal with the risks of a relationship.)-(e.g., …)))
She says they are beginning to think their step mom killed their father. (He had gone into the hospital for knee surgery and was doing well, and then something went wrong and he was gone. His wife is a nurse and was the only one in the room when things went wrong.)-(It sounds like they had been having problems and she was having an affair with one of his friends. Maybe she decided she would get a lot more money by killing him than by divorcing him? (Erica says his wife has already remarried.)-(I wonder if her new husband was involved in the plot?)) (She says they have even talked about having their step mom killed, since there is no way to prove it. (That isn’t an answer! (Even when people escape prosecution by human systems, they will still be made to pay come judgement day. (What goes around does come back to you!))))
She wants to borrow the truck again for a road trip, and I told her that was ok. (Her car isn't in very good shape, and the truck could use some hiway miles.) (She is a bit nervous about driving a stick shift. (Tis a bit scary at first, but it doesn't take long for that to become unconscious.))
(8pm) Erica was telling me about a friend who is having trouble dealing with turning 30. (During that period I at least tried to act 20. (I am in far better health, feel better, look better, …, as I approach 40 than I did as I approached 30! (I still don't take real good care of myself, but I am doing a much better job of it than then!)))
