I think the crux of the dilemma is that we are at a transition point. (We need to move on to new ways of doing things, and there are a lot of powerful forces who have dug in their heels and are doing everything they can to stop change from happening. (They have a vested interest in the past and will lose money and power once we move onto the next level.))
One example is electricity. (I think its well within our grasp to make breakthroughs in battery and solar panel technology in a relatively short period of time, if we would approach it like we did landing someone on the moon. (We will have to do that to survive, and we need to get on with it.) (The problems is that, rather than steering us in the direction needed to survive, government steers us in the direction which will generate the most profits for the current electrical system.))
The solution to the job problem is to begin the process of retraining our entire work force in preparation for the next era, and begin the conversion process. (It will be a massive undertaking, but its the only way to survive and prosper in the future.) (And, its a process that will employ a lot of people. We need to stop worrying about lost jobs and start moving forward.)
I wonder how much of Ericas problems now are related to Henry and how much is her dads death? (Before he died Erica was saying she felt like a weight had been lifted, and was getting out and having fun.)-(Maybe her conscious mind cant deal with her dads death yet and those emotions have gotten confused with her feelings about the break up?)
(5pm) Nice walk! (Greenough sure is pretty this time of year!) (I need to reward myself for walking on the weekend!)
(6pm) I ate four x-tops. (Try and stay awake!)
(7pm) I went through the cable guide and picked movies for November.

Some of my plants still havent recovered from being repotted. (Maybe I should put them in the grow room for awhile and see if that helps.)
(Noon) Lazy morning. (Nice!)
(3pm) Well, it took seven loads, but laundry is done again.
Erica stopped by while I was gone and left me some pizza. (Neat!)
