I went over to the Parks Department and we finally finished up that water slide project. (It isnt financially feasible now, so we are going to recommend not doing that.) (I am going to go back soon and help them out with their new computers.)
I went to a meeting this morning on the urban renewal projects they want to do over the next five years. (Interesting!) (I dont agree with all the ideas, but I learned a lot.) (They have more ideas than money, and it will be interesting to see what actually gets done.) (I still worry that some of their projects will hurt the poor and help the rich, but that seems to be how life works.)
(10pm) Class went well. (So far it has been easy, but we are beginning to get into stuff I havent studied, so it will be getting a bit tougher.)
(11pm) It takes me awhile to wind down after class.
Tis nice getting back into a routine where I am staying up later. (Tis interesting how much more energy I have in the evening when I go out instead of vegging out in front of the tv.)

(7am) The days are getting longer. (Neat!) (Between short days, smog and clouds, winter here is a gray time; and it lifts the spirit when the first signs of spring begin to show up!)
I picked up the new Talking Heads album. (Great!)
One problem with sleeping until 6am is I dont get to lounge around much before work. (I think that is an acceptable sacrifice.)
D O jumped on my back while I was brushing my hair. (That is a real annoying habit!)
Another new trick she has come up with is to run and jump and hit me about hip level, bounce off, and then start running around the apartment.
Another is to sit on the heater in the kitchen and jump out at me when I walk through the door into the kitchen.
Mostly she is pretty cute though. (Except for the jumping on my back thing, her antics amuse me.)
(5pm) Twas a busy day!
I helped the detectives with some of their computer problems. (They are progressing with their data base project.)
Natalie got back from her five-week ski trip in Europe. (It sounds like she had a great holiday! (Good for her!))
