(Midnite) Samantha took me to a barbecue at one of her brother's homes. (That was fun.)
Then Samantha and I drove up in the hills, and watched the fireworks display they put on at the football stadium. (Pretty!)
(8am) Samantha's mom showed me a book of poems and quotes yesterday that an old fellow had given to her husband. (Here are a few intriguing one's from there:
Oscar Wilde-"The cynic is one who knows the price
of everything and the value of nothing."
Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche-"The growth of wisdom
may be measured exactly by the ill temper."
Emmett Le Tempte-"Be a dreamer. All your life be a dreamer. Practical things must be done. Dreams show the way."
