1-9-00

(9pm) I finished up with the spell and grammar checker.

Now I am trying to come up with names so I can go back through the file and change all the names.

Note from the ozone: Maybe the reason our ancestors recognized that it takes a village to raise a child was because, back then, they recognized that the survival of the village depended on their children?

I started my Y2K diet. (I had stocked up some odds and ends, so now I am going to live on that until it runs out.) (I’m also cutting out supper in an attempt to get rid of this extra 40 pounds.) (I am not looking forward to canned peaches and Spam, but it won’t take much time to prepare and it should help with the diet to eat food I don’t like for awhile.)

1-10-00

(9pm) I gave myself the afternoon off from writing projects and caught up some on my reading. (I have got tons of reading piled up. (I have gotten so obsessed with getting my writing ready to publish on the internet, pretty much everything else has been pushed onto the back burner.))

1-11-00

(9pm) Today I got all the names in the file changed.

1-12-00

(9pm) Today I began editing the fiction.

Dad called. (They are going to finally break down and get a computer, and he had some questions he wanted help with.)

1-14-00

(9pm) I worked out Tuesday through Friday again.

Dad called again looking for more computer help.

1-17-00

(9pm) Erica stopped by and spent some time studying the internet. (Neat!)

1-18-00

(9pm) I took a little break from editing and helped out Erica some. (I gave her and Miranda a bunch of my Y2K stash, so their shelves are stocked up for awhile. (I probably should have kept something besides peaches and Spam, but I don’t have time to waste now on fixing meals.)) (I also fixed her vcr, repaired a footstool, and helped her to fix one of the locks.) (It feels wonderful to help others!)
