(8pm) Since I am in the southwest, I went to a Mexican restaurant tonite. (Delish!)
The fed cut the interest rate and the stock market jumped up over 300 points. (Interesting.) (They must be getting desperate to prop up the market.)
I called my Aunt Faye. (Her and my Uncle Larry live in Kingman, Arizona and I had planned on stopping there tomorrow nite to visit them; but they are going to Vegas to visit their son Alex, who lives there. (I guess I will go on to Vegas tomorrow and try to hook up with them there.))
It would be nice to see them. (Faye is an artist and Larry is a psychologist.) (Dad says Alex is a wheeler/dealer, so Vegas is probably a good place for him.)
I tried to call Erica to touch base, but she was out.

(5am) Flagstaff, Arizona 55,679 7.28 g.
It rained last nite, so I guess I am going to be crossing that storm today.
(8am) There is a rainbow off on the horizon. (Beautiful!)
I am still fighting with the wind.
From here on out I will mostly be on two lane roads. (They are much better for sight seeing, but they are slower and more dangerous.)
(9am) Grand Canyon, Arizona 55,767
It started raining awhile back and now its snowing. (Neat!) (Visibility is down but the snow sure is pretty.)
(11am) The snow stopped and the canyon was beautiful. (I wish I had more time to spend here, but I have a lot of miles yet to travel today.)
I have finally gotten into collecting souvenirs, since Santa Fe. (I am feeling like a regular tourist.)
Today the ashtray broke, so I bought a souvenir ashtray. (It keeps sliding off the dash and is making a big mess. (Hopefully I will get the hang of that soon.))
(Noon) Williams, Arizona 55,059 7.1 gallons
Back to McDonalds burgers.
It would be nice to have a woman in my life to share this trip with. (I might not have driven as many miles as I have on some of these days, but having someone to share the driving with and a womans perspective in observing and choosing what to do would have added a lot to the journey.)
