Well, when I started out today I popped a tape in expecting Charlie Daniels, but what I got was Lynyrd Skynyrd doing "Give me three steps". (I suppose that song fits me chasing a married woman.) (Then came "Little Queenie". (That would be a good theme song for the trip after OK City. (I don’t know if I could manage to act single though.)))

Well, today’s lunch was Hardee’s burgers.

I promised Carrie I would get laid on this trip. (If I can’t find someone who will volunteer, I will have to stop at the brothels in Nevada and take care of that.)

The great weather continues.

There have been a few trees that are starting to turn, but it’s just too early for the real color extravaganza.

I wonder why so many women I meet were raised Catholic?

Well, I finally found my sister’s house. (This is the first time so far on this trip that I have gotten lost.)

(10pm) They have a nice place here. (A couple acres and a comfortable house.)

They have been on the road for a month working the hurricane, but my sister flew back this morning to meet up with me.

They have three cats and a dog. (Bill’s mom stops by to feed the cats while they are on the road, but the dog has to stay at the vet.)

There are a lot of farm animals in the city here. (Weird.) (The people across the street are even raising roosters for fighting.)

My sister has lost a little weight, but she has a long ways to go.

Twas sure a pretty drive.

It has been a long time since I wandered across this hill last. (Most would probably think it’s a silly side trip, but I think it fits our times to come up here and visit Woody Guthrie’s grave. (We are returning to the same type of times he wrote about, in some ways, but there are a lot of twists.))

Tis Columbus Day again.

The summer has been hot and dry here, and a lot of farmers and ranchers are in serious trouble.

The poems aren’t great that are showing up, but at least they have returned.
