After the bar they were all going to Suzanne’s house, but Sally wasn’t comfortable with me going there. (We talked awhile out on the sidewalk and I agreed to go back to the motel and wait for her to call or show up.) (Then we shared a long wonderful hug.)

I suppose some would call it blasé evening, but it was the most wonderful nite I have had in a very, very long time.

The wall by the bed is a mirror. (It has sparked my imagination. (Such a lech!))

(10am) I have been writing for five hours. (Tis wonderful to be writing again!)

One thing I noticed last nite was how much Sally looks like my ex. (It had never occurred to me before, but maybe that is why I had been attracted to my ex. (Sally was my first love, so maybe on some level I had still been looking for her when I met my ex.))

(12pm) Well, no word from Sally. (Part of me wants to walk down the street to the strip joint and see if I can get some food. (My word is my bond though and I promised I would sit here until she called.))

(6pm) Well, I haven’t eaten in 29 hours, so I finally had a pizza delivered.

I have pretty much given up hope of hearing from Sally. (She was the first woman to stand me up (31 years ago). (It hurt a lot back then, but I have been stood up so often since then that I have come to expect it. (Women usually like me and they want to spend time with me, but only as a friend. (They agree to go out with me but can’t do it as a date.))-(Some of my best friends are woman who stood me up for dates.)))

(9am) Topeka, Kansas 54,067

I have to go ahead and head for Oklahoma City. (It would have been wonderful to see Sally, but after all the time with people this week 36 hours of being alone was nice.)

A poem showed up.
