Well, the DOW ended the day down 63. (It flew all over the place again today, but ended the day down just a little.) (Dad thinks Clinton's people are stepping in and buying the DOW stocks to keep that indicator looking good. (I don't know who is doing it, but someone obviously is. (I wonder how much longer they can do that?)) (Dad thinks 6,000 is the downside. (Who knows?))

If it goes down I hope it waits until I get back to Montana. (If it goes, there could be a disruption in the distribution system and gas could become a problem. (I have an extra five-gallon can in the back, but that won't help much.))

We talked a bit about the Y2K problem and the potential for problems with that. (They seem to be aware of that. (They can a lot of food, so they have a stockpile of food and other stuff, and there is tons of firewood at the farm.))

Erica called today with vcr questions. (That is a good sign. (She may miss taping a few of the shows, but I am sure she will get most of them.))

We went to the museum today. (They just moved from the building downtown to a big facility out on the West Side of town. (I have never been a big fan of concrete and glass, so the exterior didn't impress me.)-(The inside is well done.))

I finally took some pictures. (Just a few of the house and outside of the museum. Also a couple down at Crestview Park.)

I went on a walk with dad down along the creek today. (That is a nice trail they have built down through there.) (Tis good to see he is keeping up his daily four miles. (Not as fast of a pace as I do on mine, but that is to be expected.))

(5am) Happy Birthday to me!

(10pm) Erica called again with a couple more VCR questions. (She couldn’t find "All my Children", so I had to let her know what channel that is on the cable.) (She also had a question about the garden. (Her and Miranda were arguing about whether to stop watering and put the hoses away. (I told her to keep watering until the first hard frost.))

Dad and I did the park trail again today and I took a few more pictures.

We also went to Gage Park. (We checked out the zoo and rose garden, and I took a bunch more pictures.) (Dad says the animal rights people have been giving the zoo a hard time. (It has deteriorated some and I guess I can see why. (Sad!)) (The rose garden is still beautiful. (Tis winding down for the fall, but there were still plenty of flowers.))

I have been considering putting some roses in the new flowerbed I am planning to add in the front of the house. (Dad suggested I try Queen Elizabeth and Tropicana.)

Well the DOW bounced around again and ended up 17 on the day.
