(6pm) My dad called and bs’d a bit. (Bryan never wrote him to ask for help with college.) (They are thinking of stopping here on a road trip that they are taking next month. (That would be neat!))

(6pm) I started going to the Club again. (Not much, but it’s a good first step towards getting out again.)

(10am) Note from the ozone: In many ways (e.g., us vs. them, sex, …) we are slaves to our DNA, and if we don’t find some way to stop blindly following it’s encoded messages, we are doomed. (What worked to preserve the species down through the eons is no longer working and we have to evolve beyond that. (Maybe that is what enlightenment is all about? (Moving beyond the basic messages programmed into us to something new.)))

(7pm) I went out to Costco with Miranda and helped her pick up a trampoline. Then she bought me dinner. (Very nice!)
I had hoped that people would start dropping by now that Bryan has moved out, but it hasn’t been happening. (I guess having him here has cost me my friends.)

(11pm) Carrie called and bs’d awhile. (She is starting her student teaching and will graduate this semester.) (Her dad gave her a van for an early graduation present.) (Next spring she is going to go through a program called women in transition and start looking for a job.) (She broke up with that last fellow. (Too clingy for her.)) (She lost ten pounds and got a tan this summer.)

(8pm) My dad showed up and I spent the afternoon and evening with them. (We had a good visit and I showed them around town some.)

(10pm) We took a trip over to Idaho to see the place where he went to boot camp back in ’43. (Fun trip!)
They stopped at the place where my sons work and talked with Bryan. (He is in school and working.)-(It sounds like he is doing well. (Good for him!))
