Her eyes have been getting worse, but she still won’t wear her glasses. (Sad!)
There does exist a common thread among most people within a culture. (We have lots of differences, but at the core there is a lot of shared experiences which forms a commonality. (e.g., tv shows, movies, books, music, …))

(7pm) Carly stopped by for a bit. (Her job is getting hectic and she is pretty wound up!) (The kid started going to day care this week.) (That job in Butte starts next Monday, so Gwynn may well be on her way back to Montana now. (Wait and see!))

(4pm) Carly stopped by for a bit. (She hasn’t heard from Gwynn, so who knows what is up with her.) (It sounds like the kid is adapting to day care ok.)

(9am) I tend to blame my behavior on fear of others, but the reverse is also an aspect. (There is a part of me that blamed myself for my mom’s problem, and my ex’s problems. (By avoiding people, not only do I protect myself from being harmed by others, I also protect them from my influence. (e.g., my fear of sexual relationships not only prevents women from breaking my heart, it keeps me from breaking any hearts.))-(Having used this defense strategy for so long gives some validity to that feeling, in that it has left me unskilled socially, which does lead me to do and say the wrong things. (e.g., I hurt Carrie with my stupidity and I would guess she still hasn’t forgiven me or trusts me completely.))-(This defense strategy has also led me to viewpoints (philosophically, politically, …) far from the main stream. That means I will have to endure lots of disagreements, to become social; but that isn’t a valid excuse for remaining a hermit.))
(10am) One thing I have noticed while working in government is that, when the decisions are made public, not all the reasons are stated and sometimes they work backwards from the decisions to a rationalization they think the public will buy into. (That makes me wonder about all decisions. (e.g., other reasons for the gulf war, that I can see, are providing Bush with a scapegoat for the economic problems, helping his buddies in the military industrial complex, and helping his buddies in the oil business.))
