(11pm) Time to rest!

12-9-89

(Noon) I slept 11 hours but I am still tired.

I ran out of money and cigs, so it’s nicotine withdrawal time again.

(1pm) Laundry time.

I got a letter from Carrie. (She is back in Bozeman.) (She says she has been straight since I saw her last.) (She is pregnant with twins and is due in April.) (She says she is going to go back to school and get her teaching certificate.) (Her parents are helping her out with money.) (Tis a relief to know she is doing well!)

(2pm) Tis snowing here. (Pretty!)

I had more money in the laundry bag than I needed, so I was able to afford two packs of cigs. (Defer withdrawal for awhile.)

(8pm) Sharon called and bs’d awhile.

(1am) Time to call it another Saturday nite.

(Noon) Quiet morning.

It looks like a blizzard outside!

(3pm) Erica stopped by and bs’d for a minute. (Neat!)

(9pm) Quiet evening.

12-11-89

(7am) There is a part of me that would like a cig, but I just can’t afford that habit in the winter. (Unless I roll my own, and that was just too hard on my body.) (The joys of poverty.) (Even if I start again when I have money next summer, the break will have been good for me.)

(5pm) I have felt chilled and strange this afternoon. (Weird!)

I left the phone off the hook all day at work. (I have been real edgy because of withdrawal, and didn’t want to hear from anyone, for fear I would rip their head off.)

(6pm) I wrote Samantha and let her know where Carrie is living.

(7pm) Erica stopped in for a bowl and a brew. (Neat!)

(8pm) I keep turning the heat up, but I am still chilled. (Yech!)
