(10pm) Tiredness!

Tis nice that the new tv season has started!

10-29-88

(9am) I slept eleven hours. (So far, all the pills do is make me sleep a lot.)

(10am) Erica has been pondering the pg puzzle some more. (The doctors say she either has to get pg soon or get a hysterectomy. (That is a lousy choice.)) (Miranda says one should quit the pill two years before trying to get pg. If Erica wants kids she will need to go off the pill now and get pg in two years, whether she has found someone or not.) (Miranda and Charlotte say that they think Erica would be a great mother, and they think she should do it; but that is something Erica has to figure out for herself.) (I am glad I don’t have to deal with that part of life now. (I have no regrets about getting a vasectomy!))

Lack of a social life does take a toll on my health, and someday I will have to break through my phobias in order to be healthy. (Just the thought of beginning the process scares me to death though!)

I have been here almost three years but I am a stranger here still, and I haven’t even begun the process of meeting people and building friendships, that has to come before contemplating more complex relationships! (I have got years to go once I begin and I am not even close to beginning that journey.) (Keep paying off marriage debts, studying, writing and trying to evolve and grow.)

(11am) The toilet seat is getting pretty cold these days with the window open. (I hope D O appreciates that sacrifice!)

D O is getting fat. (I am spoiling her!)

I have noticed that my Advil consumption is down to almost nothing since I quit cigs. (Nice!)

(2pm) Erica stopped by while I was at the Laundromat and dropped off some food and a note. (Neat!)

She says she got a second job. (Good for her!)

I washed a couple more curtains today. (Keep working on getting rid of the signs of cig smoke.)

(4pm) "Still life with Woodpecker" is going slowly this time. (Tis hard for me to get into fiction the last year or so.)

Quotes:

Tom Robbins: "We are our own dragons as well as our own heroes, and we have to rescue ourselves from ourselves."

"… you are forced to separate what is right from what is merely legal."

"Life is like a stew, you have to stir it frequently, or all the scum rises to the top."
