(7am) Well, chores and breakfast are done.

Now for the meeting I came here for.

(5pm) In the air again. (The flight was late getting off the ground. (I hope that doesn’t mess me up in Denver.))

It rained all day again.

We took off out over the ocean so I got a little view of the Pacific. (Neat!)

The conference wasn’t worth what it cost. (Grants are amazingly complex and there is a lot of stuff they could have covered, but mostly it was superficial bs.)

There sure were a lot of security people at the hotel. (Tis in a ghetto area not far from where the worst of the gang problems are.) (Mostly the employees of the hotel were blacks and Chicanos.)

I wonder if Carrie didn’t get my letter in time, or if she just spaced me off? (If she is still pissed, she probably wouldn’t have seen me.) (I hope she is ok!)

A woman from Sunnyvale, California came up to me and started a conversation during the lunch break. (Beautiful black woman with really neat eyes.) (She says she moved to California from a small town in Michigan five years ago and loves it. (She was making $14,000 a year there and is making $50,000 a year here doing basically the same job.)-(She says her rent here is $1,000 a month.)) (She is going to mail me an information sheet on jobs there.)

(7pm) Back on mountain time. (Dinner was ok.)

The sunset was beautiful!

The view of the Grand Canyon was likewise.

The pilot says we have got a good tail wind and will make Denver five minutes early. (Neat!)

Still four hours from home.

Maybe it’s best I didn’t connect with Carrie? (If she is still mad, it would have been a stressful encounter.)

Tis going to be interesting getting into the poems from "Outlaws and Poets". (I haven’t read those for ages.) (I wonder how they will effect me?)

I am going to have to start the child support payments again soon. (It doesn’t effect her as she will still be on welfare and my payments will go to the State to offset what they give to her, so I don’t feel too bad about not starting up the payments yet.) (It won’t be long before the State garnishes my wages, so maybe it’s best to just wait and let them do that.) (I could use a little while longer of full paychecks to catch up on everything I have gotten behind on.)

The lady from Sunnyvale sure was fascinating! (I will have to send her some poems.)
