Watching the players

I suppose I should
Join in
Take my turn at
Bat
     
But I sit quietly in
The
Bleachers
Letting others play
Then
Going on
Alone
     
But then that is
All I've ever
Known
Never learned the
Rules
Never played the
Games
     
So many others here
Who are
Experts
I'd just strike out
Get laughed
Out of the
Game
     
Should have learned
How to be
Fun
When I was young
Out here
On the
Playground
      
But I was off in a
World of
Books
Studying, working
Doing all the
Supposed to
Do's
     
Lots of things I
Do do
Very well
Lots of life
Where I can
Do it in my
Sleep
     
But come
Play
Time
I'm as lost as
One
Can
Be
     
It's all
Greek to
Me
So I watch and
Wonder
Then
Pass on
