After work on Friday, I went down to The Cannery with Ron, had a few brews, and watched him pump quarters into the poker machines for awhile.

Then I chowed down on Chinese food again. (This time my fortune cookie said, "To know a woman, don't look - just listen." (I look first and study their eyes, and then I talk to the one's with the neat eyes, who talk to me.))

After dinner I walked down to Leo's and tossed the Frisbee around with Samantha for awhile. Then we went and visited the neighbors; bs'd with them, caught a buzz, and listened to tunes. (The neighbor lady showed me a bunch of her woodworking projects. (She is good. (e.g., she took a 10" piece of walnut and carved a chain out of it. (How do people find that much patience?))))

Then Samantha and I walked down to the Filler and caught the Colter Boys. (I danced all of the last two sets. (Much fun!)) (I bs'd with all the guys in the band. (Although they were having fun playing, they were also sad that it was ending.)) (The guys in the band got me in the door for free.) (Tis sad they are breaking up.) (The band had a keg and champagne on stage; but there was a lot of tension and sadness too.) (No one was talking to Elliott. (Elliott's new wife showed up just before the end of the second set and stood at the bandstand arguing and screaming at him, while he was trying to play. (The only part I caught was her calling him a "f'ing slob".)-(Samantha and I went outside to smoke a bowl and cool down after that set, and pretty soon Elliott and his wife drove by with her screaming at the top of her lungs.)-(Despite all that, I had never seen Elliott play so well. (He really let loose and did one hell of a job bending those strings.)))) (Max gave a rap about how they had played the music they like for eight years, but it didn't pay off and they were tired and worn out.)-(He also commented that it’s nice to see that the Fabulous T-birds have finally started to make it, after years and years of struggling in obscurity.) (I ran into my ex's neighbors. (They say she doesn't talk to them anymore. (She abandoned the kids for a few days while she was on a runner, so they called the police.))-(They say she has about got the new trailer set up and it appears that they are recovering from the fire.)-(They said that they are about to call the sanitation people, because her place has turned into a junkyard.)-(It sounds like my ex gave Joe a car for his 16th birthday.)) (I also ran into Dante. (We ended up talking about Carrie, and about how much we both miss her.))

During the walk home from the Filler, Samantha told me about the 40 year old married biker that she has been having an affair with lately. (From what he has told her, she figures his wife would kill her if she ever finds out. -(Why does she get into those situations? (She almost got killed last year, doing something like that.)))-(She says he is nice and has good cocaine, so maybe that answers everything?)

Saturday morning Josh stopped by the motel woke me up. (We sat around bs'ing for a couple hours. (He is still having nitemares about prison.)-(He says they call it the "gladiator school".)) (He and Julia got a trailer down by Belgrade, and they are both working and doing well. (Good for them.)) (From what he says, it's easier to get drugs in prison than out.)-(And, that doing acid in prison isn't an intelligent choice.) (He and Julia ran into Caroline and Ryan on New Years Eve. (Josh and Ryan almost got in a fight.)) (He had to chop all his hair off for this job. (His boss is a Mormon.))

I had breakfast with Rob and had a good visit with him.
