(6pm) I have been reading a lot on management lately. (I thought I might enjoy working in that area; but, from what these books say, with the advent of the information era the need for managers will continue to decline. (So much for that idea.))

Happy birthday to Bryan.

John Nesbitt-"It is through the arts that we explore our humanity, our spirituality. The counter ballast to having to live with high technology."

(Noon) Last nite I rented some more movies.

My dad called this morning. (He says Joe called to let him know that their trailer burned down. (Everyone is ok. (Relief.)))

(7pm) Quotes:

Ouchi, "Theory Z" - "... open sex and complete celibacy are functionally equivalent: …each prevents the formation of loyalties to another individual and so preserves the loyalty of all to the community."

(6pm) Note from the ozone: In his book, Jess Lair talks about the power of sexual bonding and argues that people should avoid casual sex as a result. (Maybe it's just the opposite, and we need to desensitize ourselves so we aren't fooled by lust and choose mates without getting to know them as a people too?) (I know I followed lust and thought it was love. (If I had taken the time to get to know her, I don't think I would have made a commitment.)-(If I had had an active sex life back then, I probably wouldn't have married her. (Between loneliness and horniness I was so desperate for a wife, I married the first woman who showed interest.)))

(6pm) Erica invited me down to Flippers Tuesday nite. (She got me drunk.) (Nice break, but I over consumed a bit.)
