(6pm) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nites were quiet. (I read, watched tv, and taped a bunch more albums.)
Erica called last nite. (I had given my ex's letter to her, to get her opinion. (She says it sounds like I am the bad guy. (I probably am.)) (She thinks I should call my kids. (They have established some harmony in their lives, and I think for me to intrude now would disrupt that harmony.))

(5pm) Erica stopped by last nite for a bit and visited. (Companionship is neat.)
Then I rented some movies, ate shrooms, and kicked back.
Today I ran errands, did laundry, and got some more movies for tonite.

(6pm) Sunday I finished my taping project, and pretty much took it easy.
Monday was quiet.
Last nite I was really bummed out, so I rented a couple movies and bought a bottle of wine. (I sat around watching movies and getting smashed.)
I read Lawrence Sanders' book "The tomorrow file".
(Weird.) (I thought his changes in vocabulary were interesting. (e.g., bathroom becomes
"nest", money becomes "love", "stop" instead of die,
"use" instead of sex, enjoy becomes "profit", expensive becomes
"lovable", and work is "service".))-(He took our having culture and
projected it into the future. (e.g., "Do we want a world of mystics or a world of
producers and consumers?"))
Quote:
Eric Hoffer-"In a time of drastic change, it is
the learners who inherit the future. The learned find themselves equipped to live only in
a world that no longer exists."
James O'Toole , "Vanguard management" -
"... to understand the behavior of any group of people, it is necessary to get down
to the basic premises of their belief system - to root out their fundamental
assumptions."

(6pm) Quote:
Calvin Coolidge-"Progress depends very largely on
the encouragement of variety. Whatever tends to standardize the community to establish
fixed and rigid modes of thought, tends to fossilize society."
