Sometimes when I go to Carrie's to water the plants, I hang out there for awhile and read or think. (I like Carrie's. (Something about it is just so relaxing.)-(Tis kind of nice having a place to hide out sometimes, where no one is going to look for me.)
I treated myself to a couple of new records today.
Quotes:
Eric Berne, "Games people play"-"...
emotional deprivation can have a fatal outcome."
"... any social intercourse whatever has a biological advantage over no intercourse at all."
"Social programming results in traditional ritualistic or semi-ritualistic interchanges."
"Pastimes and games are substitutes for the real living of real intimacy."

(2am) A fellow from work and his wife stopped by and we went to the Sundance and the Paw.
(That was nice.)
It would be nice to find someone who has music but no lyrics, and work out a partnership. (Here I go dreaming again.)
(Noon) Laundry time again.
(8pm) I went over to Carrie's on my walk today, watered the plants, and read a bit. (I took back the stack of books that I have finished so far, and got some new ones to read.)
Samantha stopped by and talked me into loaning her my car for a couple of days.

(10pm) Quiet day of reading.

(8am) Notes from the ozone:
1. In "The art of love", Erich Fromm says that sexual dysfunction is a result
of either fear or hate of the opposite sex. (I agree.) (I would define "sexual
dysfunction" as the inability to form intimate relationships. (And, one can be
sexually active, but not be intimate.))
2. If sex is an interaction of the "Child" aspects of the two people,
as Eric Berne suggests, part of why I don't find lovers
is that I seldom address the Child aspect of the women in my life. Its even less
often that I allow my own Child aspect out to play.
3. Isn't part of the power of tyranny that the oppressed are so focused on survival that they aren't aware of what is happening; and if they are, they don't have the time, energy, and courage to do something about it? (And, isn't the same thing accomplished in wealthier cultures by creating the illusion that one has to have lots of things to survive? (e.g., in a poor area food is what is considered essential for survival; while in a rich area car, house, tv, ..., are considered necessary to survival.) (Doesn't the having orientation that is conditioned into is also lead to the sense of alienation and stimulus-hunger that so many are feeling?) (Given that power is strongest when one uses an organization, isn't another tool of tyranny to fragment society as much as possible, diffusing the potential power of the oppressed by getting them fighting among themselves instead of focusing on their oppressors?)
