I think it’s a positive sign that I am beginning to write poems for women other than Erica again.

4-18-85

(6pm) I got a letter from Erica yesterday. (She is doing well. (Good for her.))

Billie called today to say she would be coming over this weekend.

My car died again.

4-19-85

(6pm) Hectic day at work.

Samantha stopped by the office today. (She says she and Leo are back together again. (Good for them!))

4-20-85

(7am) I went over to Leo's last nite and played gin with Samantha. (That was nice.) (She was a bit pissed at Leo again, about not getting enough attention from him. (One shouldn't take their lovers for granted, unless they want to lose them.))

Note from the ozone: The world is sure fractured into a lot of subcultures. (And, aren't a lot of those fractures rooted in religion?)

(2pm) There is an ad on tv for a new movie where a girl is telling her brother that she would like to be a guy. He responds with something like, "No you don't. The male body needs sex all the time. Tis a living hell." (How true.)

(3pm) Note from the ozone: Another problem with religion, that I see, is that they try to deny our animal instincts. (We can't wish them away.) (Wouldn't a better answer be to come to terms with them and find some kind of a harmony?)

(10pm) Another Saturday nite.

I spent most of the day thinking about women. (I have to find some way to come to terms with intimacy.)

4-21-85

(Noon) Carrie stopped by and visited. (Twas really nice to see her again!)

Quote:

Edward Sapir-"The fact of the matter is that the 'real world' is to a large extent unconsciously built upon the language habits of the group!"

(3pm) Samantha stopped over and bs'd. (Friends make poverty bearable.) (Friends are wonderful.)

(4pm) I have to learn to appreciate the time my women friends spend with me, and the fun we have. (Feeling bad because there are no lovers in my life is a waste of time.)
